LuLu Master Home Chef & Little Home Chef
The Promotion is valid from 21st October to 8th November 2020.
Join LuLu’s search for home culinary star in the UAE’s very first virtual cooking and recipe video competition—LuLu Master Home Chef and Little Home Chef, which will gather aspiring chefs and food enthusiasts to showcase their knack for food plating and video editing. For each category, the prizes are as follows:
FIRST PRIZE AED 3,000
SECOND PRIZE AED 2,000
THIRD PRIZE AED 1,000
Participants shall upload their originally created video of not more than 59 seconds as a public post on Facebook or Instagram only with the hashtag #LuLuMasterHomeChef for adult category (17 years old and above) and #LuLuLittleHomeChef for the kids category (16 years and below). Entries uploaded on other channels, such as Twitter, YouTube and the like, will not be accepted.
Entry is free of charge.
Only one entry per account profile (on Facebook) and account username (on Instagram) will be accepted and validated and shall be uploaded on or before 8th November 2020, 11:59 PM (UAE time).
Participants of any age can join the competition. The profiles of kids who are 12 years old and below shall be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Participants have varied options to showcase their cooking and video editing skills, either through a recipe format, ASMR format, with text or without, with sound effects or without, stop motion, and the like.
Participants shall be responsible for submitting only original content with a license-free background music. Each entry should have full copyrights to the submitted material. Should there be clips included from third-party photo and video sourcing and streaming websites in the video, the entry will immediately be disqualified. Entries with inappropriate clips, such as obscene,
Participants shall submit a high-resolution video that has good quality for viewing on Facebook and Instagram.
LuLu is not responsible for viewing failure due to the private post/account profile mode set by the participant.
LuLu reserves its right to extend the last date of the competition or for submission of entries without prior notice.
The selection of the winners will be judged by LuLu’s official chefs and concerned teams through each entry’s presentation skills (how the storyboard is built up in totality) 35%, plating (how to final dish/es is/are stylised and plated) 30%, and creativity (how all video elements are stitched together to come up with a high-quality video and storyline) 35%.
The winners will be chosen at the end of the promotion.
The winners’ names will be also announced on LuLu’s social media channels and websites.
To claim the prize, the winner will need to come to the designated store within the stipulated time (mentioned in the communication), with the following documents:
a. Original and valid Emirates ID (for the kids category, the Emirates IDs of both the participant and the parent/guardian are required)
b. Emailed certificate from LuLu intimating about winning the prize.
The prizes for all 6 winners, which will be in the form of LuLu Shoppingift Card, will be given on the day arranged by LuLu team. The date and venue of the event will be intimated to the winners once the announcements are completed.
If for any reason, the winner does not come to the designated store with the documents to claim the prize within the time frame specified, then he or she forfeits the prize.
This competition is in no way associated or sponsored by any of Facebook and Instagram companies and is an independent initiative of LuLu. LuLu reserves the right, in its sole discreation, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest should there be a virus, bug, non-authorised human intervention, fraud, or other factors that will affect the company and the professionalism of the competition.
Employees of LuLu, agencies, and their sister concerns, as well as family members of employees are not eligible to participate in the promotion.
LEGAL DISCLAIMERS
Participation in the competition constitutes the participant's permission for LuLu to use their names, personal information and/or any statements made by the participants regarding the competition and LuLu for advertising and promotional purposes without previous notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Any dispute with regards to the promotion will be subject to the courts of Abu Dhabi.
