Ingredients

  • Nestlé Sweetened Condensed Milk 397 g
  • Nestlé Caramel 397g
  • Speculoos biscuits, crushed
  • Nutmeg 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon 2 teaspoons
  • Unsalted butter 300 g
  • Kunafa vermicelli 500 g
    For Cream filling
  • Nestlé Sweetened Condensed Milk 397 g
  • Water 2 cups
  • Cornstarch 5 tablespoons
  • All-purpose flour 2 tablespoons
  • Mastic powder 2 teaspoons
  • Orange Blossom water 1 teaspoon
  • Rose Water 1 teaspoon
    For Caramel Filling
  • Nestlé Caramel 397 g

Method of Preparation

In a large pot over medium heat, melt half amount of the butter and put in half amount of the raw kunafa. Stir until golden brown. Take it out and place it on a tray. Repeat. Add crushed biscuits and spices over the cooked kunafa. Mix and crush together. Layer kunafa mix in jars, then top with prepared creamy filling, then with Nestlé CARAMEL, top again with kunafa dough and repeat. Top the last layer of kunafa with Nestlé CARAMEL and sprinkle with crushed Speculoos biscuits.

Note: Divide the kunafa into halves to make sure that kunafa is equally cooked with the same color.

For the cream filling

Mix Nestlé Sweetened Condensed Milk with water and corn flour in a saucepan. Bring to a boil with constant stirring until it thickens. Turn off the heat and add mastic, rose water and orange blossom water.

To Assemble

Layer kunafa mix in jars, then top with prepared creamy filling, followed by Nestlé Caramel then kunafa mix and repeat. Top the last layer of kunafa with Nestlé Caramel and sprinkle with crushed Speculoos biscuits.
